Join this fun and creative sewing class to upcycle old fabric and turn it into a unique ottoman/footrest. All materials are provided. You can bring old towels and sheets for stuffing the ottoman. This class is perfect for those with basic sewing skills. We recommend bringing your own sewing machine. Please let us know if you need to borrow one. This is a workshop for adults.

Cockle Bay Community Fun Event

There will be a range of childrens' activities and entertainment related to the local restoration project; plus those attending can have a go at petanque (free), rent a kayak, catch-up with the Lions who will be fundraising with a sausage sizzle and watch the scouts race their rafts. The event will be cancelled if the weather is bad.

'Native Tree Rescue' Papakura Stream Restoration

On this day we will be caring for thousands of native trees that were recently planted as part of our Papakura Stream Restoration Project. Weeds such as bindweed grow rapidly and strangle juvenile trees and we need your help to give them the best chance of survival! CVNZ will supply all of the tools and equipment needed, and leaders who are keen to share their knowledge of native flora and fauna.
